What's Train the Painter?
Train the Painter is an internationally recognised training programme which is accredited and approved by Lloyds Register
, having formally being approved by the Society of Protective Coatings SSPC, prior to their merger with AMPP.
The training has been developed by industry experts at Corrodere in response to the strong demand for certification within the industrial coatings industry that now requires personnel working within the road, rail, renewables and oil and gas industries to obtain professional specified certificates.
Train the Painter has three core modules including;
On completion of the Industrial Painter Certification, train the painter gold delegates will be awarded with either an Orange or Gold card depending on the experience already gained in the protective coatings industry.
Course Overview
Train The Painter Gold combines all three modules of the Train The Painter programme.
The course is a combination of theoretical and practical sessions. Delegates will be assessed throughout the practical exercises and complete a multiple choice test for each module.
A TTP gold card will be awarded upon successful completion of the practical exercises and multiple choice tests.

In order to attend and complete the Train the Painter - Protective Coatings Applicator (Gold) modules delegates must;
Career Path
Route to TTP Bronze card - You must complete the Protective Coatings Applicator training.
Route to TTP Silver card -
You must complete Protective Coatings Applicator AND
Abrasive Blast Cleaner
OR
Spray Painter
training.
Route to TTP Gold card -
You must complete Protective Coatings Applicator AND
Abrasive Blast Cleaner AND
Spray Painter training.
Please Note
Upon successful completion of the Train The Painter - Protective Coatings Applicator modules, delegates will be awarded with a TTP Gold card.
To be granted the Gold TTP card delegates must have worked in the protective coatings industry for more than 1600 hours, completed the Abrasive Blast Cleaner and Spray Painter training.
