What's Train the Painter?

Train the painter is an internationally recognised industrial painter training programme, created by Corrodere Academy , which is accredited and approved by Lloyds Register , allowing students to gain an industrial spray painting certificate.

Spray Painting Short Course

The TTP Paint Sprayer training, is a short course that has been developed by industry experts in response to the strong demand for paint training certification within the industrial coatings industry that now requires personnel working within the road, rail, renewables and oil and gas industries to obtain professional painter certificates and provides them with one of the modules of the Train the painter course.

Train the Painter has three core modules including;

• Protective Coatings Applicator
• Abrasive Blast Cleaner
• Spray Painter

Learn to Spray Paint

Delegates will learn to spray paint on steel surfaces and upon successful completion be awarded with either a Train the painter Silver or Gold card depending on the modules completed and experience already gained in the protective coatings industry.

6. Plural component spray painting

Train the Painter Spray Painting Course

Prerequisites

In order to attend and complete the Train the Painter - Spray painting course delegates must;

• Be at least 18 years old
• Have worked in the protective coatings industry as a spray painter for more than 800 hours OR have worked as an abrasive blast cleaning operator for more than 800 hours.
• If the student is new to the coating industry, they can still attend the spray painter course, however a Orange "trainee sprayer" wallet card will be issued, until 800 hours is gained when this can be upgraded to a silver spray painter wallet ID card will be issued.
• Completed the mandatory Protective Coating Applicator training

Spray Painter Certificate

Career Path

Route to Bronze card - You must complete the Protective Coatings Applicator training.

Route to Silver card - You must complete Protective Coatings Applicator AND Abrasive Blast Cleaner OR Spray Painter training.

Route to Gold card - You must complete Protective Coatings Applicator AND Abrasive Blast Cleaner AND Spray Painter training.
